Abstract

Uno de los primeros preceptos que se aprende en la Escuela de Medicina, es "Primum non nocere, secundum cavere, tertium sanare" atribuido a Hipócrates, la cual se traduce como: “Sobre todo, no hagas daño, luego previene, por último, cura”. Atrevidamente –de forma personal- y para contextualizar en el acto médico, agreguo: “Et nunc comitatur” (Escalante-Kanashiro R., 2024), que significa, “Y ahora acompaña”. En lo personal ello, no debe ser solo parte de la práctica médica, debe incorporarse también al proceso de investigación, en toda su dimensión y obligación.1
